Doña Paula Estate

The Estate wines are born in our high altitude vineyards in the foothills of the Andes Mountains located more than 3,300 ft above sea level. We select the finest quality grapes from our low-yielding estate vineyards and combine them with the passion and creativity of our winemakers to produce unique wines with tremendous depth, elegant aromas, and excellent typicity.

In 1997, Doña Paula acquired our first vineyard located in Ugarteche in the heart of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, with the express purpose of producing high quality Malbec. Following its innovative spirit, Doña Paula acquired three vineyards in different regions of the Uco Valley, one of the most renowned winegrowing regions or Argentina because of its high quality grapes, well structured and elegant wines.

The Estate wines are critically acclaimed and stand out for their superior concentration, aromatic intensity, complexity and New World style.

At Doña Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable farming practices.

Doña Paula Los Cardos

Los Cardos wines from Doña Paula showcase our fresh, approachable wine grown in some of the finest appellations of Argentina.

Los Cardos is a Spanish word for “the thistles,” flowers known in Argentina for their intense and surprisingly vivid color as well their sharp thorns. In Mendoza their presence is an unmistakable signal of good terroir. Our Los Cardos wines are as beautiful as the thistle, but unlike this prickly flower, the wine is incredibly approachable. Our sustainably managed vineyards grow in a challenging climate with a breathtaking landscape located at more than 3,300 ft. above sea level where they enjoy the constant breeze from the Andes Mountains. The resulting wine is fresh and perfect for every occasion.

At Doña Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable farming practices.

Doña Paula Malva Rose'

Malva, a native flower from Mendoza, is the first one to bloom and it announces that Spring has started. Like the Malva, this Rosé is made with Malbec grapes and celebrates the new season with the freshness of the youngest wine

In the clay loam soils of Finca El Alto in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo, we chose the poorest profiles resulting from the mixture of rubbles and clay to plant our Doña Paula Rosé of Malbec in the year 1998. The yield per hectare is of 7 to 10 tones with drip irrigation. The weather of this estate located at 1,000 meters above the sea level (3,280 feet), is characterized by warm days and cool nights, with thermal amplitude of 14ºC (57.2ºF) and an annual average rainfall of 250 mm (9.84 inches). The conduction system used is the trellis.

At Doña Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable agriculture practices.

Doña Paula 1100

Doña Paula 1100 is named for its high altitude vineyard sourcing: The Los Indios vineyard is located in Altamira, San Carlos, Uco Valley, at 1,100 meters (3,610 feet) above sea level. This terroir is characterized by its sandy soils, which have a thick layer of black caliche at a depth of 70 cm. In this area, days are warm and nights are cool. The average annual rainfall is 300 mm. The soils where these vineyards are planted are very poor as regards nutrients, organic matter is almost nonexistent, and they have high drainage. This vineyard yields 5 metric tons per hectare.

At Doña Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable agriculture practices.
